Summer Camps at Valley Ridge Farm, Inc
Pony Pals (Ages 4-8)
Pony Pals is a perfect way for young horse lovers to dip their toes in to see if horseback riding is something they’d love to pursue. Pony Pals is a 4 week course for aspiring equestrians ages 4-8.
Each session begins with unmounted time, where the kids get familiar with the barn, learn how to properly groom and tack a horse with adult assistance, and learn basic safety procedures and barn rules.
Helmets can be provided during Pony Pals, or you can purchase your own. Riders need to wear comfortable long pants, a fitted shirt, and boots with a low heel (rain boots or ‘riding-style’ boots are fine!) If your rider continues into our Rainbow Riders or regular lesson program, they will need their own helmet, and we strongly recommend purchasing paddock boots, breeches, and gloves for them, for comfort and safety! Youth Equestrian Camps (Ages 8+)
Valley Ridge Farm’s summer camps offer a great blend of unmounted horsemanship, riding time, horseback games, and equestrian-themed activities that are sure to be the highlight of your kid’s week! We offer 4 day summer camps, as well as winter break camps and occasional one day camps on school holidays. If you have a 6 or 7 year old with consistent riding experience who would like to join our day camps, please contact us for options!
