CANCELLATION POLICY

A 24 hour notice is required to cancel your lesson. Please contact the barn to submit your cancellation in writing. Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice and “no shows” are considered forfeited and not able to be made up during make up weeks- however, if any spots are available in an appropriate lesson the same week, you may select an alternate lesson time for that week. Please check the VRF Lesson schedule to see what appropriate lessons are available for you to inquire about.
VRF may cancel lessons due to extreme weather conditions. In the event that we need to cancel lessons due to weather, Valley Ridge Farm will send out an email and text to all students scheduled, as well as a notification through REMIND (Text the message @vrf-family to the number 81010 to join our Remind messaging list), and a post in the Valley Ridge Farm- Clients Only Facebook page. If schools are canceled due to storms we will cancel. If it is below 10*F we will cancel. If there are an exceptional number of cancellations due to weather, VRF may add additional make up lesson days.

MAKE UP LESSONS

Adding additional make-up lessons to our horses’ and instructors’ regular working schedule has proven to be very hard on them. We strive to keep our horses happy, healthy, and in a good mood so they may look forward to their lessons! Therefore, we do not add additional lesson times for make ups during our regular weekly program. If you know you will be missing a lesson, please let us know with as much notice as possible-you may look at our lesson schedule and contact the barn to find out if there is availability in any of the appropriate groups that fit your schedule that week. Other make up lessons will be scheduled during our make up lesson weeks- up to 3 make ups per semester may be scheduled per rider during make up week. Check our calendar for possible make-up days that may be added due to cancellations regarding weather etc.
